Painting, graphic work, sculpture and boxed art, 1997–2025. Many pieces are still available as originals: just ask.
Noche de Lava y Mar
2025
In the stillness of a Christmas night, lava and sea merge; the island lights up with a serene glow, awakening the magic that joins fire, water and spirit. This Fine Art print collection turns my original drawings into accessible, exclusive works, keeping the strength of the stroke, the feminine symbolism and the spiritual sensitivity of my work. Limited editions of only 10 copies per drawing, numbered and signed individually; once sold out, no more are made.
Harimaguadas
2022
“Harimaguada” is the name the indigenous people of Gran Canaria gave to the women of a socio-religious institution that predates the conquest, highly respected in pre-Hispanic island society. In every culture, women have been portrayed as the link between the earthly and the divine. This project depicts the role of women in a matriarchal society where they were respected as intermediaries with the divine and as the origin of a community. Shown at the Casa-Museo Antonio Padrón (Gáldar, 2022) and the Château de Bressuire (France, 2025).
Tierra y Sal
2019
Salt that gives life to the earth we walk on, that feeds our skin and our feet, with which we leave footprints and open new paths and furrows to sow. Limited-series graphic work printed in high quality on paper that meets the most demanding museum conservation standards (ISO 9706).
Graphic work 2019/2020
2019–2020
Graphic work made during the pandemic and the COVID-19 lockdown. Limited series printed in high quality on museum-grade conservation paper (ISO 9706).
De mar… y ciudad
2018
The city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, defined by the isthmus that joins its two halves, and the people who live, walk and work in it. Shown at the Design Plus Bex Hotel (2018).
Indigenista work
Painting that explores the Canarian Indigenismo movement: full-bodied figures, gánigos, tabaibas and island landscape, in acrylic on sackcloth applied with a brush.
Other works
A selection of paintings from different periods and series.
Construcciones
2011
Wall pieces in wood and assembled materials: the window, the door and Canarian architecture reduced to their essential forms. Shown at S/T Espacio (Las Palmas, 2011).
Sculpture
Back to volume, where it all began. Heads built from assembled, stitched cardboard planes, and modelled masks that carry the memory of indigenous faces and of the figures in my painting: the same simplification of form, now in three dimensions.
Arte encajado
2023
Taken literally, a box is a container of different sizes and shapes, usually with a lid, used to keep things. The box is therefore the limited main format in which the work is shown, carrying my own pictorial vision. Inside it, different planes create trompe-l'œil effects that lead the viewer into a three-dimensional experience; whether the box is open or closed draws the viewer into a game and makes them part of the work. Shown at S/T Espacio Cultural (Las Palmas, 2023).
